There are thousands of good books out there to aid self-awareness and understanding. I am often asked if I have a recommendation and my response is usually particularly personal to the client or person I am working with. I have read and appreciated most of the recommendations below, though a few are recommended by well respected supervisors and peers. Some are outdated but, in my opinion, still offer some sound and important information within.
